This photo of the Adkins family - Paul at the helm with Rainy, Torrent, Dare and Sanguine in tow, was taken by mom, Monica, as they rode along the Ruth Bascom Riverbank Path System. Her picture recently won the Travel Lane County Photo Contest in the Outdoor Adventures category.

Attracted to its bike-friendly reputation, the Adkins clan moved to Eugene in 2007 and has been car-free ever since. During this time, all of the kids have been raised in Burley trailers!

When asked about the photo, Monica stated, "I am thrilled to have the honor of shooting the winning shot. I'm not much of a photographer, but these kids of mine make up the difference."
