Rated 4 out of 5 by from Expensive but worth it We bought this since we have a toddler and soon to be newborn. Our toddler does not like being strapped down so we knew we needed to make it a comfortable ride to keep him happy during the rides. We have since taken him and our 3yo neighbor and they have a blast. There's plenty of space in the front for two kids, and in the back for balls, snacks, sweaters, etc. My only complaints are the price and the handle bar. We also bought the jogging wheel and bc it doesn't swivel, turning is a pain with the handle bar that slips unclicked when downward pressure is applied. Definitely room for improvement there. But it's not a safety hazard and I don't think I'm damaging the trailer, it's just annoying so I'll just suck it up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love our Burley D'Lite!! Started out with the Burley Bee with my last son and it was great but I really wanted the stroller function so I upgraded when I had my 3rd child. Why did I not get this sooner!? We seriously use this thing everywhere. Mostly as a stroller. When I am walking by people I always hear "that's so cool!" I love going on walks in storms when I would usually be cooped up inside with the kids and they stay nice and warm, I just say go hop in the Burley and we are good to go!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Burley has invited me to write a review even though we own an older model... This new model does seem to address some of the points I don't like about ours. 1. The flag thing as mentioned elsewhere. I resolved this with a little sand paper. 2. Hitch attachment can be a pain when wrangling two kids and a bike. Kick stands recommended (none of my bikes have them). 3. The new new harness looks nice. Ours is ok. As others mentioned, kids helmet pushes forward due to the "seat" and causes discomfort. 4. Parking brake - ok for temp usage. I would like to store with brake on but my version has tire pinching brake. Ski kit works great but will wreck groomed tracks. Go for flat groomed or trail blazing. We probably use it as much for a stroller as we do for biking. Great for that also.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I was so excited to get the D'lite Burley bike trailer and didn't mind spending the extra money "if I got what I paid for." We've had our trailer for 5 months. My kids enjoy it and it does give a smooth ride. I also like how the wheels are larger. It also collapses nice and easy. On the other side..... When opening the trailer up from the collapsed position it takes a lot of effort to hold/pinch the bars together before the clamp holds the frame open. Also the covers on the seat belts are loose - I had to safety pin all of them in place so they wouldn't fall off after each ride. Also the cover does not stay taunt when riding, It collapses in on the kids - There is no place to secure the bottom straps to. Then to get a wheel just a simple wheel , adds another $70 at least. So for the price I paid for the D'lite - Not worth the money, I would look elsewhere.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great trailer! Sturdy, rolls well, strong frame but light. I do have a couple suggestions for improvement though. 1. In slightly wet weather there is no good option for the children. Rooster tail spray gets on the plastic cover and obscures view, or leaving the plastic up and the mesh down means getting drenched (or on dry days, taking some road debris to the face). Needs different means of venting while maintaining view - even if wet weather venting is not as optimal. 2. The kid's should wear a helmet but honestly, wearing a kids helmet (which are huge!) means that the headrest/mesh seat back pushes their helmet capped head forward, making the ride position fairly uncomfortable. This has cut short many a beautiful ride. Those are my only two complaints. Otherwise, a perfect trailer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best money I've ever spent! After owning an inexpensive, clunky, uncomfortable trailer, I stumbled upon the D'Lite. I had heart eyes! It had all the things we needed. The stable seat, that doesn't sag and taco your kiddo being the most appealing to me. The quality is incredible. I've had the trailer now for 6 years and it's still as awesome as the day I bought it, lasting through 2 kids! The ride is so smooth, the pockets and storage are more than you even know you needed. And the double stroller wheels? Worth the money all day. They push like a hot knife through butter. I love how it's lasted over the years. We don't baby it by any means. We constantly collapse and open it. It's just as sturdy as the first time I opened it up. Nothing is loose, nothing rickety. Biking is my favorite activity, pulling my kids is so fun and a great work out!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from We originally had a Burley Encore but upgraded to the new D'lite for a smoother ride with the suspension and upgraded 5-point harness. The trailer pulls great but the suspension doesn't seem to do much. There really was not a lot of difference from our Encore that had no suspension. We were also dissapointed with the shoulder strap adjustment of the seats. Even though the shoulder straps may be adjusted up and down with the size of you child it does not do a lot of good as the strap passes thru the shoulder cushion which is attached to the seat pad, a fixed position. Hard to explain but from a comfort stand point I would prefer the older seat belt system over the new one, and so would my kids. The bowed out sides are really nice and allows more room for the kids. We also really like the adjustable sunshade for evening rides when the sun is low. Overall it's a good bike trailer but for the price you pay I was hoping for a little more with new improvements on 2016 model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've had my Burley for three years now and absolutely love it!! Bought it when my daughter was 4 and my wife had just given birth to our second child. Sold our second car and became a one-car family. I have always been an avid bicycle commuter, whatever the season, so having that second car rarely made sense. Shopped around to compare and this one had the largest cargo space, passenger space, on the market. I drag both kids around (still) to the local market and have plenty of room for our groceries. The capacity (weight and volume) is incomparable. Everything is well protected from the elements. The accessories include everything you really need: a jogging option, the trailer option, the get-through-the-aisles-at-the-market option - all with a coulee simple snaps and pins. I have to admit we have had some late mornings when I rushed to get my daughter to school and misjudged a couple turns (especially in the winter with icy cobblestones...) and even then the carriage structure and strength ensured my child was safe and snug. Love our little trailer!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All Around Great Trailer My 2yo daughter and I have been using this trailer for short commute rides for 6 months now and it has been great! There's plenty of storage even with a toddler. The trailer pulls smooth over rough asphalt and has no problem taking on sidewalk transitions at an angle. The harness system works great! We've had one turn over while riding-I took a turn too sharply and ran one trailer wheel on the curb. The trailer ended up on its side in the middle of the road. But all was good with my daughter; she was laughing. No damage to the trailer either; I just turned it back over and continued on my ride! Setup out of the box was a breeze. Additionally, the trailer is easy to connect to my bike. The hitch stays on my bike at all times and has not caused any issues when the trailer isn't attached and I'm riding alone. We will occasionally get picked up by my wife while riding and the breakdown of the trailer to get it to fit in the minivan (with my bike) is quick and easy. Overall great quality, great features, safe, and easy to pull. We would purchase this trailer again if something happened to this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We have two Burely Delight double trailers. We have enjoyed them for many, many trail rides. I run a small child care in my home and we often take a group of children on adventures via the nearby bike trails that intersect to different city parks in the area. The children are comfortable without the seat sagging and the protection from the sun has been vital to their comfort in the southwest climate. The ample luggage area has been essential. We have also used them both in stroller mode. The only complaint I have is on the older Burley the parking brake sometimes fails. We put new tires on that trailer and I guess because the tread is wider the brake tends not to hold. Also, with our newer Delight the flag will not stay upright. That has been a nuisance. Overall..we love our Burley Delights and would buy them over again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We had a Burley Bee for 5 years and for Christmas upgraded to the D'Lite. I love that you can put it all together with no tools (except the part that connects to the bike). The suspension and brake system are new to me and I love them. Since I live in the mountains and it's still winter I haven't had a chance to actually bike with it yet, but I like the ski conversion option. The connection system is simple, handle is slick. It's a well designed trailer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a growing family My wife and I got new bikes to try and get outside and active more often with our now 3 and 1 yr old girls. This trailer has been the perfect way to include the whole family. We’ve gone on quick evening bike rides and it takes less than 2 minutes to hook it up and get everyone strapped in. I fully expect to use this as the kids grow until it falls apart - and based on the build quality, that won’t be anytime soon! Only downgrade is for the tires that ship with it. Pretty cheap rubber that will likely need replacing well before any other part of the trailer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We bought the Burley D'lite in july 2016 from REI in Bellingham Washington . After 2 weeks of casual rails to trails type riding the cotter pin that holds the trailer to the bike broke ! The replacement part costs over $ 20.00 to replace. REI stepped up and replaced the part on the spot !! I suggest looking into buying the replacement part soon after purchase. With out this part you will be walking . As for the trailer itself there are lots of plastic parts that should be aluminum .( We are carrying our most precious cargo in these trailers !) Besides the plastic parts i couldn't be happier with the trailer . We also bought the dual stroller wheels at the same time . The reason we went with the dual wheels is the turning radius of the now stroller . If you use the single wheel on the tow arm you will have a more difficult time in stores and crowds . The dual wheels turn on a dime and they work great. We really enjoy the extra cargo space. The D'Lite is a great buy !! We are happy to say that We are now a biking family !!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from very lite I did 8000 thousand km with the D lite maybe 2000 more if i am a good mecanician It is a good car to enjoy the city or around the city but not to travel a long trip. It is really easy to desarm the car and tires, Materials are good quality except the color who become white, zips who brake ,suppension who fall during your trip and the things to arm is really bad and causes lot s of movement at the car after 5000 km.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This trailer is legit! My daughter is 4 months old now and we started putting her in it for rides at 3 months with the burley infant snuggler. We ride on the roads, but we mostly ride on an urban trail system and the trailer does great. Almost a sure way to get her to fall asleep. I don't think that they left any stone unturned when designing this thing. I recommend this model to all of my friends with kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We had our D'Lite Burley for more that 2 years and we love it. We also, have the stroller kit with the 2 wheels and used it as a stroller when we go to the zoo or outdoor activities. Cons .wish the seats were a little sturdier. (2016 model looks like it has new seats.) .storage bag for traveling. I travel a lot and wish I could take it with me. .storage bag to put away folded. I live in Chicago and we put our burley away during the cold weather. I like to have my things dust free and clean. So we wrap our burley in a blanket and tape like a gift. Is nice that there is a cover for outside but not all of us have a house with garage and back yard. Please make a bag for storage like some strollers have does not need to be padded just a bag to keep the germs away while is in storage. . A clip for the flag to keep it from flapping when is not in used or while is being used as a stroller. Mine is always hitting the wheels and sometimes gets stuck. Yes I can remove that flag but I don't want to loose it so I always leave it attach to the burley when we go from biking to stroller. Even though there are some things that can be change or added we still love our burley and my kids love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very smooth ride for the littles We have had our Burley d'lite almost 2 months and we love it. I have taken my 1 1/2 yr old on her own or both her and my 4 1/2 yr old in the trailer- it pulls well and the shocks adjust very easily to compensate for the weight change. I asked my 4 1/2 yr old if it feels smooth or bumpy when we hit any bumps on the trail and she said it is smooth. The padding is nice and the straps adjust well for different size kids. My 1 1/2 yr old gets a little fussy after 3-4 miles but the mesh pocket holders allow a spot for toys or a snack for a distraction. Biking with this trailer has allowed us to bike rather than drive or walk to a number of community parks in our area.  I love that I can get some exercise while being with our kids and show my kids that an active lifestyle is fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Quality This is my second Burley. My first was purchased in 1995 and still have that one. Just decided to get with some of the awesome features of the new style Burley. And trust me when I say the new Burley is awesome, perfect in every way. Thanks again Burley, George

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just got the new 2016 D'Lite. I've used it a handful of times, in dry and rainy conditions, and highly recommend it. You can find many detailed reviews online of the D'Lite, I'll just point out some things for the 2016 version: * Evidently the flag holder was horrible in past versions. It works great and is really easy with the new model! * The updated seat belts seam really nice. I have to use Burley's baby snuggler (or whatever it's called) (sold separately) for smaller children, so I don't get the full experience just yet, but they seem really easy to use and adjust, and nice quality. [PS, with the baby snuggler it's tough to have the baby wear a helmet. Head gets pushed forward. Not ideal. That issue is resolved when using the trailer as-is, but the snuggler adds extra padding, causing this problem.] * It comes with a light mount bracket. There's no reason to ever ride on roads without a rear blinky light, so this is a no-brainer feature. I would be upset if this wasn't included; as-is it works great to clip on a light. * Shocks don't exactly work great; baby bounces all over the place. But it's not cumbersome for him. And you can't expect the same plush suspension a high-end MTB would have. This uses a simple spring. And I feel it is better than nothing, so I don't regret choosing this model over the Encore (no suspension). * Comes with pretty crappy tires. If you plan on going on long tours, or intense city commuting/etc., you'll need to replace them - tacking close to another $100. Something to keep in mind. (If you just plan on riding around bike paths on sunny 75-degree days, you'll be fine.) * There's a little more plastic than I'd like to see. BOB has gone this route with their strollers of late, too, I've noticed. I'm a little concerned in a few years some things will break that can't be fixed...but I guess that's life in the 21st century. * Locking the thing up at a bike rack is tough! It's definitely not built with that in mind. Whether you remove the wheels or not it's a pain to find a way to lock up the frame. And using a U-lock is pretty much out of the question, and we all know the security level of cables, so if you need to lock it up for a while in a less-than-ideal area, you'll need to carry around a heavy/expensive chain/lock. * Expensive - but you knew that. Only you can decide if it's worth the $$ for you. Overall, the thing is fantastic. Connects to the bike easy (I think there was some update with the connection in this model?) and effectively. Relatively easy to pedal while it's attached. Feels real smooth. Child isn't old enough to complain just yet, but he hasn't let on that it bothers him in any way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My family loves our trailer. We love how easily it goes from trailer to stroller. The one thing I HATE and it causes major headaches when closing the cover is the tag that you're suppose to hold onto ripped on the first attempt so now I have to close it by holding onto the loop. I contacted burley to have them replace it or at the very least fix this issue on newer models. Burley seem to careless. SO most of the time we go without the cover unless its raining.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy Bought this as I commute by biking to work and childcare. It works well as a sleeping-stroller in childcare (children sleep outside in their strollers here all year round), though it is a little back-heavy and could tip over so it has to stand by a wall. It also works well with the commute though I have not yet been able to try it on snow and ice on the road. The kid finds it very nice and likes the pockets very much. And it has suspension

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work with pedal assist bikes I bought the D'Lite a week ago. Beyond the poor instructions, this product doesn't work with my pedal assist bike as I can't take the bolt out of the back tire to attach it to the bike. So I can't take the kiddo on long trips with me on my bike (and I bought my bike for the purpose of attaching the trailer to it) as planned. Wish I knew this, I certainly would not have spent all of this money on this product that is pretty useless to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We love our Burley and it's for sure better than the older model. There are a few details which don't work out that well. -When you lift it by the handle, the handle moves a few notches upwards. Sometimes it's easier to lift the trailer than to just push it e.g up the curb. The canopy doesn't stay in place when rolled up. It needs a hand break and a locking system. It's way too easy to be stolen. The flag comes loose. All the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultimate bike trailer! Return customer! 3 years ago I bought a Burley Bee from Scheels when my 1st son was able to ride.We used it a lot! We explored all of the parks in our community. Now that our 2nd is able to ride "daddy's bike" I decided to upgrade to the d'lite for the suspension and extra features. Took them for their first ride together and the little guy loved it! I can't wait to see where the d'lite takes us!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERSATILE DESIGN GLIDES EASILY We bought our new Burley for Father's Day. Our grandson loves riding in it and soon our little granddaughter will be old enough to ride too. What fun we look forward to having! We love that it can be towed behind a bike or converted to a double stroller. The kids are secure with the 5 point harnesses and have good visibility. And there's ample space for stuff behind the seat too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great trailer, lots of space I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and this trailer fits them, their stuff and occasionally, my stuff. It's easy to attach and detach from the bike. The 3rd wheel stroller attachment is a must in my opinion. It makes the transition from biking to walking a breeze.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We've enjoyed our Burley so far (with one child and now with a second). My only wish is that the seats could recline a bit. Our 3.5 year old even falls asleep in it, and there's no way to let him sleep comfortably in the Burley.
