Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cycling accessory I have purchased. We have carried food and folding chairs to picnics, all manor of camp gear up to 40 miles a day for short camp trips, and commuted 10 miles a day 5-6 days week for 4 years. It looks a little worn but functions like new. Folds up quick and easy to go in car or public transport. I wheel it through the grocery store instead of grocer cart. Surprising sturdy and durable. Has been a real blessing family activities and group rides. The frame most be a little over engineered as the Travoy as a few trips the load exceeded specs, traveling slow and short distances of course. Even my none cycling wife now believes the Travoy was a good investment. Took her a while but now she gets it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've just got my TRAVOY BURLEY bike trailer. Honestly, i've never been so delighted. It really is so easy to pull out and put back. I've cycled round the block with this and it's smooth and easy. This has transformed the way I will do cycle/camping trips. Now I can take the train to remote places..why? because in the UK you can't take the usual bike trailers on trains but NOW all I have to do is unhook the trailer and put it in the standard luggage rack of the train. I'm not limited by location or by renting cars to get me to remote places with the camping equipment. Brilliant design. Tracy, London, UK

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product, worth every penny spent. I bought my first Travoy in 2012. Sadly it was stolen out of a locked garage in 2014. I bought my second Travoy in 2015. Very happy with it. I purchased the upper and lower market bags. I use it daily for commuting, and shopping. My only constructive criticism in the small loops for the tail light(s). As the Travoy leans forward when pulled, the red lights I put on it may not be visible to vehicles coming up behind me. I'd like better placement for those loops, and/or an easy place to mount a light with its straps. Currently I must remove my rain cover pouch to mount a light on the cross bar there. Other than that, A+. Reflective stripes are good too. I do a lot of night time riding, so this is important to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Travoy is The Best! After literally 2 years of deliberation I could not be happier that I finally bought a Travoy. I kept thinking it was expensive and wondering if I needed it or if I'd use it enough to make it worth it. Well I use it ALL the time. I barely know it's there even with a lightweight road bike. It's worth every penny. It's so well made, has so many great features (the kickstand, the clip system for the bags the extra tie downs, the sturdy wheels, the folding design, the fact that it attaches to the seat post make it extremely stable).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rugged, durable, easy to use, compactable I bought the Travoy with my girlfriend for a 3 week bike trip down the PCT plus other bike trips and flights. It performed very well. Met or exceeded expectations on most of the design and durability. Hitch and unhitch from bicycle very quickly and use as a hand cart which is perfect for shopping or long bicycle journeys. It's compactness allows it to fit within a standard overhead luggage rack of an airplane WITHOUT removing wheels. My 3 complaints in order biggest to smallest: 1) the plastic hubcap of the wheels is not durable enough to withstand a long and bumpy road. I lost one of my caps on the trip and the wheel wobbled very badly. The cap needs to be stronger and heavy anchored to wheel. 2) The kickstand which is great for hand carting is too difficult to fold back down. 3) Border walls along edge of carrying area and additional places for bungee cords would be nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I use the travoy to take my golf clubs to the golf course. I am only 2 miles from the course so I did not want to drive my car that short distance. I have also used it for grocery shopping and now that they charge for bags at our grocery stores, I will use the bike with the bags more often. The only problem I have had is blown tires when I use it in the high summer heat that we have here in Coachella Valley, so I don't use t as often as I do in the cooler months. It rolls very easily with my golf bag strapped on that I barely notice that I am towing something.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is one of the best products I have ever bought. It's also one of the best engineering ideas I've encountered. I love my Travoy! I use it with my Tern foldup and mainly use it for getting to and from the golf course with my clubs. But earlier this year I cycled 300 miles round the north of Scotland with it laden to the hilt and it managed brilliantly. You hardly know it's there, even with a 60kg load. Easy to use, put up and put away and always getting compliments from other envious cyclists. Couldn't recommend it enough. Thanks guys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, some suggestions Since we don't own a car and live in a small apartment, a foldable cargo trailer comes in very handy. On our first trip, we hauled close to the max. of 30 kg, and thanks to our electric folding bike, we had no problem of carrying that weight uphill. Folding is very easy, as is connecting to the hitch. We have only a couple of observations and suggestions. Perhaps they will help your company to keep developing this great product further. 1. For our folding bike with 20" wheels, the Burley is about 2" to large, so it won't connect level to the hitch. A bit smaller (less tall) would also make it more comfortable for us as a shopping cart in the store. 2. In addition to the Tote Bag and the two Market Bags, very handy would be one Big Bag that attaches over the full length of the Travoy. 3. A quick search shows that there was a cool Black and Yellow Dry Bag available for the Travoy in the past. We hope you will be re-introducing something like that again in the near future. 4. We would fancy an optional lid for the Lower Market Bag, as well as a shoulder strap and/or backpack straps that would give us more options to carry heavy groceries upstairs. Again, these are just thoughts and wishes from two very happy customers. The Burley Travoy has totally changed the way we do grocery shopping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Every time I take my Travoy to the grocery store, somebody comments about it. I park, unhitch the Travoy, and voila, it is my shopping cart! Customers and clerks alike ask all kinds of questions about it, so I have given out the Burley URL many times. I've had my trailer for a couple of years now and it is an indispensable part of my urban, car-free lifestyle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect trailer This is my second Travoy one in Alaksa and have one in Seattle Haul my camera gear around via bicycle is one of my signature things. As one can see the trailer act as a table for working of, there is just under 60 of gear when loaded up the travoy handles like a dream

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Travoy. I don't ride a bike; I attached the trailer hitch to a modified tool belt and drag the Travoy behind me. Easily walk two or three miles to shop. I live in earthquake country so it is also our "bug out" trailer. Go out and buy one today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We are live aboard (sailboat) cruisers and mostly use this has a hand truck for carrying groceries and other items to and from our boat and dinghy. We have trailered it behind our fold-up bikes and it is easy to pull. The bag that comes with it does get into the wheels and rubs but we pull and tie it back to avoid any damage. A nice feature for us is storage; the wheels come off with the push of a button, folds up easily and stows in its own bag! We highly recommend this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Travoy: Outstanding Multi-purpose Bike Trailer I have had the Burley Travoy for over a year and absolutely love it. It’s perfect for carrying items behind a bicycle, but I have also used it by itself maybe 50 times as a stand-alone dolly. When pulling it behind a bike I usually use two configurations. I will often have a Burley Lower Transit bag on top of a cooler, but if I am going fishing I just strap the rods and reels to the top of the cooler, using the tie down straps. I pull the Burley Travoy behind a Biria bicycle and have attached the hitch to the back of the bicycle rack (so that I have plenty of room for fishing gear.) Although I wish the lower transit bag (or a Burley accessory) would convert to a backpack, the optional shoulder attaches easily to any of the bags. The Burley Travoy is fantastic, and all my friends rave about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We bought the travoy a couple of year ago to use while living on our canal boat. The travoy has made life much easier for us, leaving more time to enjoy other pursuits. It is often quite a distance to markets and fuel, so we hitch the travoy to a foldable bike. The travoy pulls easily and handles well whether empty or loaded when cycling on a variety of roads or trails. At other times we pull the travoy by hand when shopping is closer. We can haul 40 litres of diesel (or wine) quite effortlessly. Space is an issue on the boat, and the travoy folds up quickly and easily, and fits nicely behind our entry ladder. People have offered to buy the travoy from us on the spot, but that is definitely not an option. We did not purchase the upper grocery bag, but feel it would be a great addition, and will purchase that next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have used my Travoy regularly for the past two years. I am constantly praising it's versatility and ease of use. I use it for groceries, cases of beer, packages to Fedex and materials from Home Depot. When it's not behind my Xootr Swift folding bike, it's used as our laundry basket which I can wheel down to my laundry room. Anyone who has a bike should have a Travoy. It's an amazing combination of engineering, design and function. GREAT JOB, BURLEY!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's not just for bicycles anymore What makes it great for bikes makes it great as a rolling shopping cart, too. I bought mine for use with a folding bike, with which it works perfectly. But I discovered that it's perfect, too, to use for pedestrian errands and trips to the store. The handle makes it easy to push or pull, and one doesn't really pull it--it rolls without pulling and just follows, thanks to its large tires and light weight. The bag is large enough to hold a cardboard wine box (with dividers), making it easy to bring home glass bottles safely and easily. (I did this yesterday at our local wine store.) Its folding feature means it can be placed in a shopping cart at the market, though one can also lock it (using a cable- or U-shaped lock) outside. Folding also means one can store it in a car's trunk or back seat for use later. It's a terrific product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had been attempting to make my own version of this trailer for about a year before it was introduced. When I first saw a Travoy I realized that this is what I had been trying to make, so I purchased one soon after. I love it! I used to travel for work in the company truck, so I would use the Travoy to bring my suitcase with me. I live in Chicago and ride over 5 miles to work and the Travoy seemed to handle whatever I threw at it. I also didn't have access to a car for the first 6 years I lived here, so I would use the Travoy for laundry and groceries. As far as the product itself, it works as easily as is displayed in the instructions. It actually seems to work better when it has more weight in it. I actually had it capsize when it was empty and I hit a pothole- thanks Chicago! I added a few bungees to my Travoy for extra tie down capabilities. This comes in handy because the bag that comes with the Travoy will occasionally flair out and rub the wheels. I think I have owned my Travoy for 4 years and it has been great. One alan bolt came out of the mounting arm, but it is the same setup as a recessed caliper break on a bike so I had extras! I would suggest that you tighten the bolts every so often. Overall, I am very happy with this product and will continue to use it until it falls apart!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing makes me ride more I bought the Travoy 6-7 months ago and have been using it daily rain or shine (typical 18 miles on city streets). No more schoolbooks and bike tools in a backpack. It's such a smooth roller that even when full of groceries I find myself looking back to see if it's still there! Wheel fenders would be a bonus. I understand they are looking into a fender design soon. I lost a rear reflector and Burley quickly replaced it at no charge. Thanks again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like this trailer a lot. It's lightweight, easy to attach and detach, and holds a lot of material. Also works well with bungee cords. I have transported cartons of paper goods bungeed to the Travoy. My only warning is that, if you stuff the bag too full, the sides bulge out and interfere with the wheels. I take care with the way I pack the bag and that mostly avoids the problem, unless the contents shift as I'm riding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've owned mine for several years now, and all I can say is this is an amazing piece of design by Burley, they really outdid themselves on this one. It works--and works so well-because Burley thought so much about the details in designing this bike trailer. First, it's incredibly light. Friends who are curious about it will pick it up and not believe how light it is. Second, the functional design ergonomics are so well thought-out. The locking folding handles that permit one to collapse the trailer into a small square for carrying into the office or store, the folding 'kick stand' that permits it to stand upright, the quick-release trailer hitch, the quick release (one button) wheel axles, and so on. Also, it handles really well on the bike while riding, you barely notice you're pulling a trailer, even with a fair amount of weight. It's certainly a lot more stable than having heavy panniers strapped to your bike. When you get to your destination, the trailer magically transforms into a shopping cart by simply turning down the trailer extension, it's that easy. Just a quick comment to the view that a pair of panniers would be much cheaper and could do the same thing as the Burley Travoy. This is just plain silly, for one you will see that a good pair of panniers alone will cost you almost $200. When you add $50 for the bike rack to carry the panniers, then you're close to the Travoy's price. And you're not getting near the functionality: they can't hold near as much or as diverse a range of things as the Travoy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This trailer is brilliant! I have used it twice every week for over a year, once to cycle to work with my laptop and change of clothes etc. and then when I go dinghy sailing with a bag full of kit (life jackets, wetsuit, boots, gloves and spray top etc.). You have to watch out when crossing a road and stopping in the central reservation as the combination of trailer and bike is quite long! Also I have had the trailer "capsize" once as I cut the corner and the wheel went over the kerb! Does slow you down if there is a head wind. Only fault I can find is that you need to keep any bags away from the trailer wheels as I have had a couple holes burned into a bag by the wheels. Burley - Please make and addition to the trailer to protect the luggage from the wheels. Otherwise worth the investment as it saves driving short distances and you don't have problems parking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Trolley I bougth the Burley Travoy Trolley for the hollidays, because I don't want to drive with my car so often. When folded the trolley the size really small, handling at bike is easy. During the two weeks vacation I transport everything with the travoy, like driving every day to the beach with wife and daughter, all food and drinks (e.g. beer) ;-) Now I'm using the trolley every week for regular shopping. I love it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just okay Frustrating: getting bag caught in wheels (I’m not going to spend an additional $25 for guards), bent tube valves (had to replace those w/straight to use slime, VERY frustrating), the wire at the base has to be YANKED numerous times before it releases, and the width at the base of the trailer is TOO NARROW. Make your own trailer before buying this one and having to modify it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent product, with no significant flaws. It trailers easily on our bike(s) and unless really loaded is hardly noticeable when peddling uphill. It also makes a great shopping cart. The only flaw we have found - if you can call it that - is that the shopping bags flop closed and won't stay open to add items to them unless held open. I know, a trivial problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it I've had a Travoy since last summer and it has made such a big difference. Carrying heavy groceries and even a bowling ball is easy thanks to this trailer. The two refinements needed may be solved with a single new design. The big standard bag rubs on the wheels. Road water often splashes from the tires. A pair of curved coverings over the tires would fix that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've been using this for a year now for grocery shopping and going to the market. It's great at cause I have some back problems and runabout kids. I can put whatever I buy in there and focus on keeping an eye on the kids, no back problems, I hoop it up to the bicycle whenever we go buy something. Not cheap, but the best baggage cart for the bicycle I could find.

In all 40lbs, For many years I was a park ranger running mush of Marylands outdoor education and trail building designs, If I could mae two suggestions, First add a safety flasher that can be used on the trailer and the hitch when the trailer is not in use, Presently I am using a blackburn button style that fits the trailer frame and seat post. Secondly using a spare Kelty Tioga pack hip belt with a bracket I fashioned You may hike with the trailer behind you, This has proven to work well in cities and trails where a bike is too much a pain. Also I have photos of the trailer in action hauling my camera. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps me moving I use the Travis to run my errands. It makes the errands fun to do while getting in some exercise. With the straps I can even pick up a 40lb bag of dog food at the pet shop. It's easy to store at home, is easy to attach to the bike and unless I'm really fast and careless at curbs and sharp turns, doesn't tip. This is my second purchase as a gift.
