COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

Information You Provide to Us

We collect personal information you provide directly to us. For example, you share information directly with us when you make a purchase, fill out a form (such as our warranty form), submit content through our Services (such as when you write a review or share your Burley story with us), communicate with us via third-party platforms, participate in a contest or promotion, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. The types of personal information we may collect include your name, email address, postal address, phone number, and any other information you choose to provide. We also engage third party payment processors to collect the financial information needed to complete purchases, such as your payment card information. If your business partners with Burley to resell our products, we may collect certain business contact information from you, such as your name, title, phone number and email address, as well as other information about your business.

Other Information We Collect Automatically

When you access or use our Services, we automatically collect information about your activities, including:

  • Transactional Information: When you make a purchase or return, we collect information about the transaction, such as product details, purchase price, shipping preferences, and date and time of the transaction.
  • Device and Usage Information: We collect information about the device you use to access our Services and your use of our Services, including data about the device and network you use, such as your device type, operating system version, IP address, unique device identifiers, browser type and version, wireless carrier, access times, pages viewed, links clicked, items added to shopping cart, search history, the page you visited before navigating to our Services, and interactions with our emails.
  • Information Collected by Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies: We (and those that perform work for us) use tracking technologies, such as cookies and web beacons, to collect information about your interactions with our Services, including information about your browsing behavior, purchase behavior, and other engagement with the Services. Our vendors may also provide estimates of (1) the value of your future transactions with us and (2) the likelihood that you will recommend Burley to others.

We may derive information or draw inferences about you based on the information we or our partners collect. For example, we may make inferences about your approximate location based on your IP address or infer that you are looking to purchase certain products based on your browsing behavior and past purchases.

DISCLOSURES OF INFORMATION

We share personal information in the following circumstances or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy:

  • With vendors, service providers, and consultants that need access to personal information to perform services for us, such as companies that assist us with web hosting, shipping and delivery, payment processing, fraud prevention, and marketing and advertising;
  • If you submit a product review, we may share this publicly on our Services and it may also be shared by third-party sites offering Burley products;
  • With third parties that provide financing for your purchase if you decide to pay for a product in installments;

ADVERTISING AND ANALYTICS SERVICES PROVIDED BY OTHERS

We engage others to provide analytics services, serve advertisements, and perform related services across the web and in mobile apps. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, device identifiers and other technologies to collect information about your use of our Services and other websites and mobile apps, including your IP address, web browser, mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, and conversion information. This information is used to deliver advertising targeted to your interests on other companies’ sites or mobile apps and to analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, and better understand your online activity. Some of our advertising partners also enable us to translate your email address or phone number into a hashed identifier. Our advertising partners then use that unique identifier to show ads that are more relevant to you across the web and in mobile apps. TRANSFER OF INFORMATION TO THE U.S. AND OTHER COUNTRIES

Burley is headquartered in the United States and we have operations and service providers in the United States and other countries. Therefore, we and our service providers may transfer your personal information to, or store or access it in, jurisdictions that may not provide equivalent levels of data protection as your home jurisdiction. Where required by law, we provide adequate protection for the transfer of personal information in accordance with applicable law, such as by executing Standard Contractual Clauses or implementing another approved data transfer mechanism. Account Information

You can access, correct, or delete certain account information by logging in to your online account.

Promotional Communications

  • We need to use your personal information to perform our responsibilities under our contract with you. For example, to deliver products that you ordered form us.
  • We have a legitimate interest in processing your personal information. For example, if you are a customer, we may process your personal information to analyze and improve our Services. We also rely on our legitimate interest in promoting our products to send you marketing materials related to products we think you might be interested in, unless applicable law requires us to obtain your consent, in which case we will do so.

Retention. We store personal information associated with your account for as long as your account remains active. If you close your account, we will irreversibly redact your name and contact details from the account.
